Week 25

9:47 AM

What a fun-filled week we had! Halloween prep was in full swing this weekend and we carved pumpkins with the Hall family and enjoyed the fall weather that finally decided to make an appearance. We spent Halloween passing out candy at our house and at a Halloween party with our neighbors. I dressed up as a fortune teller with Frankie as my crystal ball and Daniel was a black widow spider. It was definitely one for the memory books!

Daniel and I also took a major stab at getting the nursery going this weekend. All of my macrame class materials and our random boxes that still weren't unpacked from the move last year (whoops) have been cleared out and the room is now all Frankie's! Daniel will finish up the crib over the next few weeks and we can start really decorating. Besides the nursery, our baby shower invitations are being mailed, my maternity photos have been booked... I just really feel like I cannot be that close to meeting my baby girl already, but here we are!

How far along? 25 weeks
Maternity clothes? Nothing else is going to house this bump.
Stretch Marks? Not yet.
Sleep?  LOL. What is that? I sleep for a maximum of three hours at a time. Between peeing, losing feeling in one side of my body or another, and a lovely cold I caught this week, full nights are a thing of the past. I'm just practicing up for those first few months of motherhood!
Best moment(s) this week: HALLOWEEN! Being pregnant for Halloween was absolutely everything I could have dreamed of. I hope I get to do it all again some day with baby #2.
Miss Anything? Full nights of sleep (I feel like a broken record)
Movement: Scheduled rave parties every weekday morning at 8:30 am at my desk.
Food Cravings: The food cravings have mostly tapered off, but I will still never turn down a fresh, bubbly coke from a fountain. I get so mad when all I can find are bottled cokes or the carbonation is off at a restaurant.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Normal, full-sized meals 😞
Gender: Who run the world?
Labor Signs: No
Pregnancy Symptoms: The fun is really beginning with a preview of what's to come in the third trimester. I finally feel that front-heaviness that wreaks havoc on your back and shoulders. I had my first Braxton Hicks contraction, which was completely wild. Also, all the gas, all the acne, and eyes that never stop twitching from exhaustion. I am basically the sexiest version of myself.
Belly Button in or out? Miraculously in.
Rings on or off? On thanks to the arrival of fall!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: EUROPE! We leave tomorrow for 9 lovely days cruising up the Danube with my parents. Thank you, Grammy and Grampy for a crazy wonderful babymoon!!
