Is there anything more magical than a baby's first Christmas? With Frankie being more and more talkative, independent, and hilarious, I feel like this was the perfect month for her first holiday season. She loved being passed from family member to family member, eating ALL the food, seeing all the twinkly lights, and opening her first ever presents!
Likes:
-Dropping food for the dogs-Stealing phones and remote controls
-Ripping bows off of presents
-When either of us walks in a room and says hi to her
-Watching the water on the shower door while we all scramble and try to get ready in the morning
Dislikes:
-Waking up before she's ready
-Wearing shoes or hats
-Having to sit still for diaper or outfit changes. We spend a LOT of time chasing a naked baby around trying to get pants on her.
-The car seat/bike seat when we first put her in

Schedule: Not much has changed. Still up for work/daycare at 6/6:30 and its a mad dash to get everyone out the door. 4-5 6oz bottles a day with solids all through the day. She still has yet to meet a food she doesn't like. She is especially fond of anything mom and dad are also eating. We get home from daycare/work at 5:30 and spend time eating and playing until bath and bed time at 7. She still wakes up once a night most nights, which is why I'm still exhausted, but its just a matter of a quick diaper change or a bottle and shes back passed out.
Features: She's moving out of a baby face and into such a toddler. We got three more teeth (in one day!) so she's looking like a little toothy beaver these days. Her hair is starting to get long with a little wave to it. I don't know its because she has more goop in her hair from being a crazy person during meal time, or if she's actually getting mama's hair texture, but its really cute.
Milestones: Top teeth, saying UH OH, bye bye, and calling me Na na (hey, I'll take it). We're THISSSSS close to steps. I think it might be this upcoming month!
Firsts:
-Time meeting Santa
-Family Christmas Party
-Weekend at Aunt Gracie's house while mom and dad went camping
-Bike ride!
Challenges: This was such a fun month! I really don't think much WAS a challenge for her. As always, scheduling things with a very active baby is hard. It can be super stressful to try and party prep, get myself ready, Christmas shop, etc with someone who is hell bent on hurting herself on literally anything dangerous in a room, but we're making it work.

Thoughts: She is, without a doubt, the best thing that has ever happened to me. I'm so so excited to celebrate her birthday next month and to see what the next year with her has in store. I love how independent, funny, and silly she is becoming. I love watching her learn new things and surprise me with how clever she's become. I knew having a baby would be cool, but I didn't think it would be THIS cool. Can we do it again, please? (yes, in a few years)
