Week 31
9:55 AMWhat an amazing week in pregnancy! Sunday was our baby shower hosted by my sister, Grace, and my friends, Emily, Angela, and Jill. Even with over 30 guests, they made the shower so personal, with nods to my IVF experiences in the favors and games, my two favorite cravings served (a potato bar and an ice cream bar), and decorations that incorporated my love of all things plants. I could barely fit everything into my car to head home and Daniel and I are beyond grateful for the gifts and love. It was a really wonderful and overwhelming day. One I definitely thought would never happen for me. I wont bore you with a million photos, they're up on my facebook and instagram for all to enjoy!
Thursday morning, I woke up bright and early to get dolled up for my maternity photos! My friend Lia came over to perfect my face and I met Christina at her beautiful studio to take a few shots. We did both regular dress and a few in pajamas/underwear, and I cannot wait to see the final product. I know that right now, I feel awkward, sore, and huge, but I know that in a few months or years, I'll be so glad I have these to look back on. Thank you, ladies, for a fun-filled morning!
How far along? 31 weeks
Maternity clothes? I broke down and bought ugly grandma slip on shoes. It is what it is at this point.
Stretch Marks? Still no, just the belly line and more varicose veins on the insides of my thighs.
Sleep? So tired, but I spend most of my nights staring at the ceiling. Between being uncomfortable and thinking about my to-do list, I know I won't be feeling rested again for QUITE a while.
Best moment(s) this week: Frankie's baby shower and my maternity photos!
Miss Anything? *TMI ALERT*- normal poops. I really miss not being constipated. 😖
Movement: Daniel and I joke that now its like she's dancing at a Phish concert. Lots of slow, fluid movements that make my whole belly change shape. She still gets me with an occasional painful left hook, though.

Food Cravings: Not so much cravings, but my appetite has increased again and I think she's about to have a growth spurt
Anything making you queasy or sick: The lack of normal poops, as indicated above.
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: No
Pregnancy Symptoms: These damn painful feet/ankles. I'm so swollen. Between that and my back, I'm feeling extremely pregnant. Excessive thirst, excessive bathroom breaks. I also had a few instances of being light-headed this week, which was pretty scary. I know its normal, but that is one symptom I could do without.
Belly Button in or out? Almost totally flat!
Rings on or off? On, but tight when I wake up sometimes.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! It was such a great week in baby-land.
Looking forward to: Finally finishing this nursery. Now that the shower is over and the crib could be moved in any day, I feel like we're close! I might even have a few sneak peek photos for you next week!
